Here are a great list of some awesome books to read! I hope to continue to provide a curated list of books, movies, and podcasts I’ve read, watched, and listened to for the rest of this year. But anyways, here are some of the books I have read from this past year…(some of these you may have read, I actually even re-read some of these on this list because they were so good..)
- Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates
Truly an amazing, beautifully written book by the amazing Yates. This was also made into a film starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet..but the book on its own…the movie does not do it justice! They’re both good but after reading the book, I preferred, the book. Truly recommend and should be available in most public libraries (if you have a library card like me..I know I’m living in ancient times..but I can’t help the feel of an actual book– I love it!) - Three Women by Lisa Taddeo
This book was very surreal. It is a nonfiction book about 3 women and their lives; as a woman it makes you feel human and that you’re not alone. The stories of these women shows the real life struggles yet amazingness of being a complex creature that is woman! - East of Eden by John Steinbeck
A classic! If you have ever read John Steinbeck, he does not disappoint in this classic. Truly a complex story of struggle, poverty, greed, love, heartbreak wrapped all in one. It’s truly an amazing story that will leave your heart bursting. - Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
Okay, this book was truly a page turner/thriller. The movie was good but wow this book was awesome. I almost finished it in one sitting.
